A hadith quotation is easier to check when it includes both a collection and a reference number. This guide shows Pakistani Urdu and English readers how to use the Hadith Reference Finder, open the original source and avoid losing important context.
Use the Hadith Reference Finder →
Start with a complete reference
Choose the collection first. A reference such as Sahih Muslim 55a includes a collection, number and letter suffix. Do not drop the suffix or assume that a number from one book points to the same report in another.
Use the finder step by step
- Open the tool using the button above.
- Select the collection and enter the hadith number.
- Press the Find button to prepare the source link.
- Open source in a new tab and review the full text.
- Select Urdu or English on the source website where available.
- Copy the reference if you want to keep a link with your notes.
Read Arabic, Urdu and English inside Khiyalee
The translated Hadith reader provides 2,220 selected HadeethEnc reports with Arabic text and both Urdu and English meanings. It is a selected educational library, not every report in the six collections.
- Open the translated reader and wait for the report list. If a Load translated Hadith library button appears, press it to use the original source-file reader.
- Search a title in English, Urdu or Arabic, then select a report from the list. Try نیت or intentions.
- Alternatively, enter its HadeethEnc report ID. For example, 4560 selects the intentions report. This ID is not a Bukhari or Muslim Hadith number.
- Selecting a report displays its Arabic, Urdu and English text automatically. Typing a report ID or searching a title also refreshes the result. The Read button remains available to retry a result.
- Expand the grading and attribution panel, or read the source explanations and benefits.
- Use Copy text & reference to retain the source attribution. Open Learn more / Explanation or the Urdu explanation button for the original source page.
Arabic and Urdu digits are accepted for source IDs. A missing or invalid ID displays an explanation rather than generating religious text. For a book citation, use the separate collection-and-number finder above the reader.
Translation sources and versions
The publisher is HadeethEnc.com. English v1.25.0 and Urdu v1.36.0 were downloaded on 8 October 2026. The reader preserves the original downloaded wording and displays its source transcript information. The original spreadsheets and version-check links remain available in the tool. Translations communicate meaning; displayed grades and commentary belong to the source, not Khiyalee.
Read translations with their attribution
A translation communicates meaning across languages; it is not the original Arabic. Check the translator’s name on the source before quoting or comparing wording. Urdu helps many Pakistani readers understand a passage, while English may be useful for study or sharing with relatives. Keep both the reference and translator attribution when applicable.
The finder does not generate religious text or automatically translate a sentence. The reader displays downloaded HadeethEnc Arabic, Urdu and English text on Khiyalee. The separate collection lookup opens Sunnah.com to check references beyond this selected library. Urdu availability varies between reports; an absent Urdu option should not be replaced with an unattributed machine translation.
Check context before making a card or post
Read the narrator, complete wording and any grade shown on the source. Finding a link does not establish that an unattributed quotation is authentic. Collections contain different types of reports, and numbering conventions can differ between editions.
If you create a shareable graphic, keep the source visible. Do not add a promised reward, a fixed recitation count or a particular outcome unless the checked source supports that claim. A personal greeting should be labelled as your own wording rather than attributed to scripture.
Examples to try
Try Sahih al-Bukhari 1 for intentions, Sahih al-Bukhari 6324 for the sleeping and waking supplications, or Sahih Muslim 55a for sincerity. The example menu supplies checked source links so you can practise with complete references.
Common mistakes and how to resolve them
If the source displays no matching page, check your collection, number and suffix. A citation using volume and book numbers may follow an older system. Use the source search to locate the wording, then retain its displayed reference.
For a sentence with no known reference, use the source website’s search. Do not select the first result based only on a few matching words; compare the whole passage and its attribution.
Privacy, speed and mobile use
The collection lookup runs locally without a processing API. The prepared fast reader downloads a small compressed title index, then only the selected report. Previously read reports are reused during the visit. If the smaller files are unavailable, the original source-file reader remains available through the Load button (about 6 MB). It does not save your reference in a user account or browser storage. Standard site analytics and advertising may still apply. The source website has its own privacy practices once opened.
Controls stack on smaller screens, and buttons have generous tap areas. Use the source website’s text-size options if Arabic diacritics or Urdu lines are difficult to read. Keep the original source link rather than sharing a low-resolution screenshot as the only reference.
