To calculate Panaflex printing cost, multiply the banner’s area in square feet by your printer’s quoted rate, then account for quantity and any additional charges. This guide explains the calculation using sample figures, so you can compare quotations before ordering a shop sign, event banner or promotional display.

Understand the four parts of a printing estimate
An estimate starts with the finished width and height, the rate per square foot, the number of copies and any separate charges. Ask whether the rate covers both printing and the material. Some quotations include finishing; others list eyelets, hemming, mounting, transport and installation separately. Write these details down before comparing suppliers. A price is only comparable when the size, material and finishing requirements are the same.
Worked example: an 8 × 3 foot banner
A banner measuring 8 feet by 3 feet has an area of 24 square feet. At a sample rate of PKR 60 per square foot, one copy has a base cost of PKR 1,440. Two copies have a base cost of PKR 2,880. If the order also has a separate PKR 300 delivery charge, the illustrated total is PKR 3,180. These figures demonstrate arithmetic; they are not a current Pakistani market quotation.
Convert feet and inches before entering dimensions
Six feet six inches equals 6.5 feet because six inches is half a foot. Six feet three inches equals 6.25 feet, not 6.3 feet. Keep both dimensions in the same unit and confirm the unit selected in the calculator. If you measure the installation opening rather than the finished artwork, check whether the printer needs an allowance for mounting or finishing before committing to the order.
Compare quotations without overlooking the extras
Record the printer’s material description, rate, finishing charges and expected delivery date alongside the total. Ask whether taxes or installation are included. For multiple banners, confirm whether delivery is charged per item or per order. Rounding and minimum-order charges can also change the final invoice. Use the calculation to ask better questions rather than treating an estimate as a guaranteed purchase price.
Move from the estimate to print-ready artwork
Once the budget is acceptable, check the pixel dimensions using the Panaflex size tool. Cost depends on the physical area; image detail depends on the artwork and output settings. Increasing a resolution number does not automatically restore detail in a blurry source image. Confirm the printer’s preferred document size, file format and resolution, and keep important wording away from any trimmed or finished edges.

Frequently asked questions
Does a larger banner always cost more?
At the same rate and finishing conditions, more square feet increase the base printing cost. Minimum charges, quantity discounts and different materials may change the comparison.
Can I use a rate found online?
Use an online figure only as an illustration until a printer confirms it for your location, material and order. This tutorial does not publish a live price list.
Does the calculator design the banner?
No. It estimates costs from your inputs. Artwork preparation and printing specifications are separate tasks.
