Panaflex Size Calculator

Panaflex Size Calculator

Print planning · No sign-up

Convert a Panaflex or banner’s physical dimensions into pixel dimensions at your chosen print resolution. Start with your printer’s required PPI.

پینا فلیکس کا سائز اور ریزولوشن درج کریں تاکہ چوڑائی اور اونچائی پکسل میں معلوم ہو سکے۔

This calculates dimensions, not image quality or a print-ready file. Confirm resolution, bleed and colour requirements with your print shop.

How to calculate a Panaflex size in pixels

  1. Enter the finished width and height of your banner.
  2. Select the unit you used to measure it.
  3. Enter the image resolution requested by the printer.
  4. Select Calculate pixels and use the result when setting up your artwork.

Feet-to-pixels formula

Pixels = feet × 12 × PPI. Calculate width and height separately. For example, a 6 × 3 foot banner at 150 PPI is 10,800 × 5,400 pixels. Its area is 18 square feet.

For inches, multiply directly by PPI. For centimetres, divide by 2.54 before multiplying. For millimetres, divide by 25.4. This calculator rounds the final pixel dimensions to the nearest whole pixel.

Banner-size examples at 150 PPI

Size in feetPixel dimensionsArea
6 × 310,800 × 5,40018 sq ft
8 × 314,400 × 5,40024 sq ft
8 × 414,400 × 7,20032 sq ft

These are calculation examples, not universal printer specifications. Large-format artwork can use different resolutions depending on viewing distance, materials and the print workflow.

PPI, DPI and design scale

PPI describes image pixels per printed inch; DPI describes printer dots. Print shops sometimes use “DPI” informally when asking for image resolution. Ask which value they need. Adobe explains printed image resolution.

The results here assume full-size artwork. If a printer requests a scaled document, follow their scale and resolution instructions rather than using these dimensions unchanged. Increasing a low-resolution photo’s dimensions cannot restore missing detail.

Frequently asked questions

How many pixels is one foot?

It depends on PPI. One foot is 12 inches, so at 150 PPI it is 1,800 pixels. At 300 PPI it is 3,600 pixels.

Does this calculator include bleed?

No. The inputs represent the dimensions you enter. Add the bleed requested by your printer before calculating if they need a document size that includes bleed.

Can I calculate printing cost?

The tool shows square feet, but does not quote a price. Multiply the area by a confirmed per-square-foot rate and ask whether finishing, fitting, delivery and tax are included.
