Base64 encode: Encode Urdu or English text as standard Base64, or decode Base64 that contains UTF-8 text. The tool handles Unicode by converting text to bytes first. It is intended for text strings, not opening arbitrary binary files or decrypting protected data.

اردو اور انگریزی عبارت کو بیس ۶۴ میں تبدیل کریں۔
How to use the Base64 encode
- Choose Encode or Decode.
- Paste text for encoding, or a standard Base64 string for decoding.
- Convert and check the result.
- Copy the output while preserving its exact characters.
Worked example
Encoding “Hello” produces SGVsbG8=. Decoding SGVsbG8= returns Hello. An Urdu sentence is converted through UTF-8 bytes, so it also survives an encode-and-decode round trip.
Base64 Encoder & Decoder: understand the result
Base64 is not encryption
Base64 represents bytes using an ASCII alphabet. Anyone who has the encoded string can decode it without a secret key. Do not use it to hide passwords, private documents or API keys. Encoding is useful when a text field must carry binary-style byte data, but access controls and encryption are separate tasks.
Text requires an agreed character encoding
The tool encodes text as UTF-8 and decodes bytes strictly as UTF-8. This is why Urdu letters and emoji can be handled consistently. A Base64 string containing an image or a non-UTF-8 file will not necessarily decode to readable text. Use the image-to-Base64 tool when the source is an image file.
Standard alphabet and padding
Standard Base64 uses letters, digits, plus and slash, with equals signs for padding when required. This converter ignores whitespace around encoded text. URL-safe Base64 uses a different alphabet and is not supported here. If copying from a data URL, remove its media-type prefix before using a text-only decoder.
Use the Base64 encode on mobile or desktop
The Base64 encode controls adapt to the available screen width. On a phone, fields stack vertically; on a wider screen they stay grouped together. Choose the mode first, read the input labels, and then generate the result. The Copy result button copies the output if your browser allows clipboard access. If permission is unavailable, the output is selected so that you can copy it manually.
Keep a copy of any important input in your own document before resetting or leaving the page. Reset restores the starting controls and clears the displayed output; it does not create an undo history. The tool does not retain previous results, compare them with a database or submit them to another application for you.
After copying, check the result in the destination where you intend to use it. Preserve meaningful units, labels and exact characters. A browser calculation or conversion can be correct while a separate form, document or production process expects a different input format. Use the example above to understand the operation before relying on your own result.
Base64 Encoder & Decoder: frequently asked questions
Is Base64 a secure way to hide text?
No. It is reversible encoding without a secret.
Can it handle Urdu?
Yes. Text is converted through UTF-8 bytes before encoding.
Why does decoding fail for an image?
Image bytes are not UTF-8 text; this decoder is intended for text strings.
